Chroma Cars Recognizes Sgt. Ryan Kane of the USMC

Profile of a Veteran
Sgt. Ryan Kane
United States Marine Corps.
Meet Ryan Kane, Operations Director for Chroma Cars Ohio.   Ryan is responsible for the day-to-day operations and dealer-facing matters in the field.

A five year veteran, Ryan initially joined the military for the pride of being able to be called a United States Marine.  Throughout his years of active duty, Ryan earned the rank of Sargent and was decorated with both the Navy Achievement Medal and Good Conduct Medal.   He only had one major deployment while serving which took him to Okinawa, Japan.

While Ryan will tell you that his military experience didn't shape his career path with Chroma Cars, there are major components of his duties that make him an exceptional Operations Director.   As an Air Support Operations Officer, Sgt. Kane was tasked with the integration of aviation with Ground Combat Element (GCE).   This MOS was also charged with casualty and medical evacuations as well as assault support, flight safety and coordination of air missions.   Given the fast-paced and ever-changing automotive industry, his ability to effectively manage several activities concurrently and adapt and adjust swiftly are a direct reflection of his Marine Corps background.

In reflecting on his years of service, Ryan stated that his best memories are the friends he made and the world travel.   "Honor, Courage and Commitment" were the qualities he says were learned as a Marine that he still uses daily.  The advice he would give to a high school student contemplating enlisting is, "You won't regret it down the road.   Only join the Marine Corps if you want to be a Marine."

Ryan lives in Columbus, Ohio and describes himself as a "single guy going through life like a rolling stone."  Ryan is quick witted and is often viewed as the comedic relief.   A natural-born performer and gifted musician, Ryan is at ease on any stage doing stand up comedy or singing and playing his guitar.   In his spare time, you can find Ryan on the golf course, rooting for the Cubs or hanging out with friends.

Thank you, Sgt. Kane for personifying what it means to be a United States Marine; honor, courage and commitment.
